Every individual has a subconscious. Your subconscious mind is always there, most noticeably when you sleep. In hypnotherapy your subconscious is being amplified to help with problems in the conscious world.

Having worked in the health service for 15 years, and having benefited from hypnotherapy himself, few people are better placed to provide hypnotherapy solutions than Iain Lawrence.

“I attended hypnotherapy myself for work-related stress when I worked in the NHS, so I know what it’s like.”

This personal experience, coupled with his NHS background, means that Iain is able to reassure his patients and, where appropriate, suggest supplementary treatments to complement their recovery.

Iain is still a registered nurse and in addition to offering hypnotherapy solutions, is also a qualified mindfulness teacher.

“I’m just in the process of setting up mindfulness groups in Troon and Irvine,” he confirms.

One such group will take place in Irvine on 5th June, with another being held in Troon on 5th July. Each group will run for four weeks, and details of venues and times can be found on the website.

In the meantime, he continues to offer hypnotherapy solutions for a range of things including anxiety, phobias, weight management, confidence issues, smoking cessation, depression and insomnia.

Originally from Glasgow but now living in Troon, Iain practices in both locations, as ethically as possible.

“Sometimes people come along and from what they initially tell me and the way they are struggling, if I think there’s a better solution I’ll signpost them to it. If I don’t think hypnotherapy is for them, then I’ll just say so.”

For the majority of people, though, hypnotherapy can provide a solution for all kinds of issues. Iain himself had followed the usual route of medication for his own work-related stress, but found that particular route to be unhelpful. Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, provided the answer he was looking for. In turn, this encouraged him to help others and so Iain Lawrence Therapy Solutions was born.
