It is the company’s 22nd anniversary year, which marks over two tremendous decades of transforming homes across the country. This inspirational Scottish success story is now preparing to open its doors in the lovely town of Prestwick in October. Everyone at Jackton Moor is excited about the new opening, just like the patrons who opened their doors to golf’s first ever British Open in 1860 in this beautiful town.

The company felt it fitting to display the image (right) from a recent Ayrshire project in St Quivox in which a customer selected this traditional design, hand-painted by the team to the colour of their choice.

In addition to the stunning cabinetry and custom-made mantle designed and manufactured by the team, the door selected to keep in with the traditional theme was solid wood, Mornington beaded. This was a real winner with the customer – and the chosen worktop to complement its theme was the waterfall profile.

Whilst this displayed a traditional look, the customer did also wish for some modern touches. The hob selected was induction and the Quooker hot water tap didn’t impact the traditional design. All project work, from design to manufacture, is conducted in-house at Jackton Moor’s East Kilbride headquarters. The impressive manufacturing complex is home to a state-of-the-art showroom so you can see first-hand how the team’s unique designs come together using the finest quality.

The company’s ethos is that the customers and their style always come first. To achieve your vision, Jackton Moor works with you from concept to installation. Business development manager and local resident in Troon, Barry McAlear, said: “We consider ourselves completely bespoke, as we try to ensure we have no barriers in what we can design or manufacture, giving customers a product that most other suppliers cannot achieve.”

The incredible success of the business has seen the facility grow to 60,000 square feet since 2001. It houses some of the most up-to-date machinery available in the industry. The business works with the commercial sector as well as with retail clients, supplying the same top-quality service to renowned housing developers such as Westpoint Homes and Dawn Homes. Furthermore, their unique custom-made projects enable them to service the hotel sector for kitchenette and Casegoods bedroom furniture. Crucially, Jackton Moor also plays its part in supporting the East Kilbride community, employing local people within the 45-person strong workforce.

Now, with its new venture, the company is looking to apply the same ethos by reaching out to the residents of Prestwick, and the rest of Ayrshire, to come and join the Jackton Moor family.
Jackton Moor was one of the first companies in Scotland to be awarded a prestigious national FIRA Gold award for its kitchen cabinets – the industry’s highest standard available. In-house designers have a combined kitchen design experience of 52 years and are not afraid to break the mould with their creations. Barry said: “We pride ourselves on being designers, first and foremost, not salespeople. When clients come into the showroom, they often say that they’re trying to work out in their head what they want their project to look like. That’s when I explain that’s exactly why they’re right to come to us. They don’t need to worry about what works and what fits – that’s our job.”

The latest virtual reality design software is also used to ensure clients have a complete understanding of their project before the work is carried out. Barry adds: “This bespoke method ensures that Jackton Moor’s designs are as precise as they are beautiful.”
