Leanne of Leanne Cairns Millinery and Kayleigh, owner of Serendipity Designer Womenswear Specialists, have joined forces inside the opulent Serendipity at 24 Nelson Street Kilmarnock. With Leanne’s expertise in bespoke millinery creation and Kayleigh’s degree in Fashion, these women have something unique available in store for women all over Scotland and beyond who love quality clothing and couture hats.

Exclusive appointment-based services are offered by both women. These appointments can benefit clients looking for honest consultation styling advice and bespoke, composed
hat design and crafted production.

Kayleigh, owner at Serendipity, said: “This collaboration is the result of many years of supporting each other in the fashion and occasion wear industry. I have been recommending Leanne’s millinery talent and skills for years to customers that really appreciate the quality and individuality of a couture headpiece for their special events, whether it be for a wedding or grand race days such as Royal Ascot. Leanne’s talent in my opinion is unmeasured in the area. There are not many milliners locally who can do everything by hand from scratch including dying to match.”

Leanne is a multi-award-winning milliner who is attracting interest globally from her peers in the hat making world and has major plans to expand the business into hat making events across Scotland. Her expertly designed and handcrafted hats have long been admired but, like most milliners, she has a niche clientele. Leanne is driving her brand forward by focusing on high quality couture production, exclusive designs with sustainability and exceptional customer care with the
personal touch.

Leanne of Leanne Cairns Millinery said: “I am absolutely delighted to have moved into the shop with Kayleigh. Serendipity sells the best quality stock of luxury occasion wear that perfectly matches the quality of my hats. It’s quite serendipitous how we actually came together as one of my hats met a dress that was sold in Kayleigh’s shop many years ago. We started a great relationship sending customers to each other. Our services are so complementary and it’s fun to have each other to bounce ideas about.”

Kayleigh has been working in the wedding industry, styling mothers of the bride and groom, for just over 18 years as she started at the tender age of 15. With her honours degree in Fashion Technology along with a diploma in Fashion Design and Production she has a wealth of experience in fabric, fit, colour and personal styling. Her knowledge and background allow her to guide clients to find the perfect outfit for their special events. A selection of designer casual wear is also available in store from the Joseph Ribkoff collection, a brand that is created ethically and of a quality that will last many years. Kayleigh believes that women should invest in quality interchangeable pieces for their wardrobe that will stand the test of time and can be worn year after year.

Both Leanne and Kayleigh have big plans to hold events both instore and in other beautiful Ayrshire locations. They hope to bring an array of fashion and hats expertise to educate their clients on styling, beauty and millinery, amongst other subjects.
