“Our aim is to bring our customers quality and affordable seasonal clothing”

Graeme – Owner

Mode Menswear, our original name, opened in March 2018 in the Ayrshire town of Troon. After proudly building a reputation for excellent customer service and for stocking high quality men’s clothing, we evolved by adding men’s golf wear into our selection. In November 2022, we relocated to our new shop at 12 Church Street in Troon, a bigger premises that allowed us this season to add ladies golf wear to our catalogue. We are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting brands for our customers, something that just shows a richness of quality or stands out from the crowd in terms of colour or style.

Our aim is to bring our customers quality and affordable seasonal clothing with a wide range of shirts, jackets, trousers, knitwear, etc, suitable for any occasion. We have famous brands like Ben Sherman, Original Penguin, Callaway, Glenmuir/Sunderland Golf, Remus Uomo, Crew Clothing Company, Weird Fish, Claudio Lugli, Guide London, Meyer, Mish Mash to name a few. When it comes to affordability, we like to choose high quality products that will be within nearly every budget.

As a company, there are two big focal points for us: sustainability and affordability. Many of our brands are fair trade, using organic or recycled cotton materials, recycled polyester or new eco fibres made from wood pulp and natural alternatives.

One of our most popular brands is Swole Panda, a UK based brand that specialises in wild and bright bamboo socks, scarves and boxers as well as woven belts made from recycled plastic bottles. Swole Panda bamboo socks are not only incredible to wear, they have an array of benefits for the environment too. Bamboo requires no irrigation requiring 1/3 the amount of water to grow than is necessary for cotton, essential in a world where water is becoming more and more scarce. Bamboo rarely if ever needs replanting. The miracle of bamboo is that it miraculously will sprout on its own and one acre of bamboo will yield 10 times more than one acre of cotton. Cotton needs harvesting and re-planting each year.
