Whether a child is coming from Wellington Junior School or joining us from elsewhere, our highly dedicated and caring staff ensure the move is smooth, nurturing and confidence-building.
Pupils benefit from the best of both worlds: the stability of a class teacher and the excitement of being taught by Senior School specialists in Art, Computing, French, Geography, History, Music, PE and Science.
This gentle introduction to Senior School staff, routines and facilities fosters independence, maturity and a sense of readiness for S1 and beyond.

Pupils enjoy their own dedicated building, Craigweil Lodge, and a private astroturf playground within the Senior School campus, giving them the perfect balance between nurture and increasing independence. - Excelling in communication, shining in the Ayrshire Music Festival’s Speech & Drama section and during our own ‘Talking Week’, where pupils explored topics that mattered to them with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Showing entrepreneurial flair in the Tenner Challenge, turning big ideas into successful ventures through creativity, planning and teamwork.
- Immersing themselves in history during an engaging visit to the Bannockburn Visitor Centre, where hands-on learning brought Scotland’s past vividly to life.
- Achieving national recognition, with success in the DigiInventors Challenge and the Scottish Mathematical Challenge, celebrating innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Developing independence and resilience during outdoor adventures which helped build teamwork, courage and lifelong memories.
- Travelling to Germany for a ‘Magical Christmas’ experience with our twin school in Dortmund, strengthening cultural understanding and international friendships.
