A Decade of Excellence

With winter fast approaching, many of us will be keeping a closer eye than usual on our energy bills, and with the cost of living crisis still very much a concern, reducing our heating costs remains a priority. But unless our homes are protected by efficient windows and doors, those bills are likely to escalate.
That’s where Ayrshire Trade Frames can help. Established in 2014 by James McCormack, it is a local, family owned business and Ayrshire’s leading supplier of quality windows, doors, conservatories and sunrooms. Victoria, James’ wife, also works in the company, as does their son, Kyle.
Aware of the importance of energy efficiency, especially at this time of year, James and his team will replace your old windows and doors with affordable, secure, stylish and durable products offering the highest levels of thermal efficiency and weather performance.
“We only use quality products,” James insists. “Both the products and the manufacturers are carefully selected.”
The installation team is also highly skilled, as James confirms: “In my opinion, they are probably the best in their field in this area. They have a wealth of experience. One of the team is 40 years into it, the others have all been involved in the window industry for over 20 years.”
James himself brings 26 years of expertise to the business and is keen to ensure that these skills are passed on.
“Nobody seems to be training anybody anymore so there’s going to be a skill shortage shortly. They don’t see window installation as a trade on its own, which is a bit of a problem, but we do. We are trying to employ in-house to upskill the people who are here.”
Future proofing the company is important to James in order to continue providing a first-class service to both trade and the public. With that in mind, Ayrshire Trade Frames looks to add one or two staff members to its team each year, either in the trade or the installation department.

“All the guys who work for us are employed by us, they’re not self-employed, they’re employees not sub-contractors. What we’re looking for is for our guys to carry out the job and finish the job correctly. We concentrate on one installation at a time so the customer is treated well and looked after.”
James is also quick to assure that if there should be an issue, it is dealt with quickly.
“If there’s an issue, we always remedy it, we don’t leave people hanging. We’re quick to react to any problems.”
This excellent customer service is one of the many reasons why Ayrshire Trade Frames is so successful and why the company continues to receive glowing reviews from its customers. Personal service is another reason.
“It’s myself and my installations manager who handle the sales. People are quite surprised, but I’m front-facing, I’m not hiding away in a wee back office expecting other people to do the work.”
What his customers can expect is genuine advice, affordable products and efficient installations. Everything comes with a 10-year guarantee and there is currently a 6-8 week lead time from survey to installation.
“Going into the new year, people are thinking about energy bills and the cost of living crisis. But the housing market is slowing down too, so people have a ‘don’t move, improve’ attitude. That’s where we can help.”
