For the holidays this year, we’ve combined two of the great luxuries life has to offer. The Espresso Martini and Chocolate Orange.

Indulgent with the decadent fusion of rich chocolate, zesty orange, and the bold kick of espresso, this tantalising Choc Orange Espresso Martini is the perfect after dinner drink for the cold nights ahead. The velvety chocolate notes, citrusy burst of orange, and the robust essence of espresso elevate this classic cocktail to new, festive heights.

This is the perfect libation for showing off to friends after a festive meal, or sipping on by the fire with your favourite bar of chocolate.

INGREDIENTS
30ml Premium spiced rum
15ml Triple sec
15ml Crème de Cacao
50ml Espresso
15ml Sugar syrup
2 dashes chocolate bitters

METHOD

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with large cubed ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds until the ingredients have mixed thoroughly and the drink is suitably chilled.
  3. Double strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
  4. Garnish with a fresh orange peel and a sprinkling of chocolate powder. Serve immediately whilst it’s ice cold.

Top tip: Using high quality rum makes a massive impact here. Freshly made espresso is also key.
