First established in 2017, Elite Alloy Wheels & Tyres Ltd was taken over by Michael McKeown in June 2024. The family-run business not only provides a friendly, personal service, but can transform the look of your car by giving worn, corroded and damaged wheels a complete refurbishment.

So what sets Elite apart from its competitors?
“Other firms just powder coat the wheels from start to finish,” says Michael. “We powder coat prime them, then we wet paint them, and then powder acrylic lacquer them. The wheels get stripped right back to bare metal so we start afresh. It gives you that factory finish. It’s a much richer, nicer looking wheel.”
All paint is removed before Elite get to work and they promise never to paint over previous work. Wheels are then blasted, repaired and prepared with professional equipment before painting begins.
But whilst they strive to perfect the cosmetic appearance of the wheels, safety is still paramount. To this end, all wheels and tyres are balanced and torqued before the vehicle is returned to the customer.
Talking of tyres, Elite also supplies a wide range of tyres for all makes and models with either same day or next day delivery. The highly-skilled team will then fit the tyres to your vehicle, all for a surprisingly competitive price.
“A lot of people don’t know that we do tyres,” says Michael. “People think we’re just a wheel repair shop but we do both. We do excellent prices on tyres as well.”
