Located a few hundred metres from the beach in the seaside town of Troon, DRIFT Coffee+Kitchen is the perfect pit stop if you are a local, a visitor or a dog walker fresh from the beach with your furry friend in tow. DRIFT offers easy access to the town’s amenities and rail links to the rest of Ayrshire.
As a small, family run business, DRIFT has established itself as a firm favourite in the community. Supporting other local businesses is central to their ethos and consequently, where possible, they pride themselves on using the best locally sourced produce across their menu.
Not only can customers at DRIFT enjoy some well-loved favourites from the brunch/lunch menu but also ‘on trend’ options, including a delicious selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free feeds. Acai bowls, a range of delicious avocado toasts (including one with chorizo, black pudding, halloumi, poached eggs and chipotle mayo), Mexican Breakfast Tacos and Vegan Bagels (filled with avocado, Bombay potatoes and pickled beetroot) are just some of the mouthwatering dishes available. If something lighter or sweeter is your preference, filled rolls or stacked pancakes can be prepared for your enjoyment. As for the sandwiches, they are hearty and flavoursome and can be served straight up or toasted. It is no wonder so many customers are regulars.
For coffee lovers there is every coffee you could want. Anything from cortados to chai lattes and everything in between. You can even get babyccinos, puppuccinos or little lattes for your four-legged friends. DRIFT speciality coffees are also available on the road from DRIFT Street Coffee. The fully kitted van with coffee machine serves freshly brewed coffees and traybakes at any event. If coffee isn’t your thing don’t worry, there are plenty of other options to tempt you. A variety of fresh fruit smoothies (try the Melon Refresher on the next hot day) and classic milkshakes, with the option of plant-based alternatives, are available, drizzled with sauce and topped with whipped cream.
